The one rule
Welcome! Sudoku has one rule: every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the digits 1-9 exactly once.
The rules are simple
Each 3×3 box must contain 1-9. Finish the box.
Rows work the same way
Each row must contain 1-9. Finish the row.
Columns too
Each column must contain 1-9. Finish the column.
Step by step
- Welcome! Sudoku has one rule: every row, column, and 3×3 box contains the digits 1-9 exactly once.
- First, selecting a cell: tap the highlighted cell on the board.
- Look at its row, column, and box: only one digit is missing. Tap it on the number pad below.
- When unsure, use pencil marks: turn on Pencil, select the highlighted cell, and tap a digit to jot it down.
- Once sure, turn Pencil off and place the real answer.
- The rest is yours! If you get stuck, tap Hint and the coach will walk you through it.
